Return to the Source

Some of the members of my Family

For the past three weeks I have been immersed in my family’s warmth.  I realized how blessed I am to belong to such a gentle group of people. They “practice” unconditional love naturally because they were born this way and were raised this way, by loving parents who knew what is important in life.

They are no scholars and they are not deeply involved in esoteric teachings, with the exception of one or two, but their soul is pure and devoted to do the best they can with what they have. I am talking about four generations here! Grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren. Most of them have had problems in their lives, with health, losses, financial hardship, professional changes, etc... Yet, they always kept their spirit and the love of their family.

My coming back to the source has revealed to me that these people that I have known all my life and that I was taking for granted, are exceptions in a world where dysfunctional families are the norm. I have seen so many unhappy and unfulfilled people since I left home to live my American adventure! I guess this is due to a culture that “pursues happiness” the wrong way, expecting much more than what life is presenting them with. They forget to be grateful for what they have and blame others for their failures.

I grew up in a very poor and big family, lacking the most basic necessities, but one thing was never missing, and that was the love we had for each other.  We would invent games, make our own toys with pieces of cardboard or wood, help each other and share whatever came our way.  Yesterday, while driving from the town with my sister, we were reminiscing our silly games and we were laughing like children. Yes, we have very fond memories of our deprived childhood, and we grew up to be loving and thankful for everything that life provided us with.

I wanted to pay tribute to this group of people I belong to because they are so unusual in a world that has forgotten the beauty of love, simplicity and candor.

Thank you God for my blessings!

My bounty is as deep as the sea

My bounty is as deep as the sea,
My love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite.

ARE YOU "THE FOOL"?

ARE YOU “THE FOOL”?

I just discovered the OSHO Zen Tarot thanks to a good friend who put it on my desk and I started to play with it, asking questions about my life, my relationships, my spiritual journey and many other things of interest to me.
Almost every time, the card representing me was “0 THE FOOL”, and this is how OSHO describes it:

0. The Fool

A fool is one who goes on trusting; a fool is one who goes on trusting against all his experience. You deceive him, and he trusts you; and you deceive him again, and he trusts you; and you deceive him again, and he trusts you. Then you will say that he is a fool, he does not learn. His trust is tremendous; his trust is so pure that nobody can corrupt it.

Be a fool in the Taoist sense, in the Zen sense. Don´t try to create a wall of knowledge around you. Whatsoever experience comes to you, let it happen, and then go on dropping it. Go on cleaning your mind continuously; go on dying to the past so you remain in the present, herenow, as if just born, just a babe.

In the beginning it is going to be very difficult. The world will start taking advantage of you...let them. They are poor fellows. Even if you are cheated and deceived and robbed, let it happen, because that which is really yours cannot be robbed from you, that which is really yours nobody can steal from you.

And each time you don´t allow situations to corrupt you, that opportunity will become an integration inside. Your soul will become more crystallized.

Commentary:
Moment to moment, and with every step, the Fool leaves the past behind. He carries nothing more than his purity, innocence and trust, symbolized by the white rose in his hand. The pattern on his waistcoat contains the colors of all four elements of the tarot, indicating that he is in harmony with all that surrounds him. His intuition is functioning at its peak. At this moment the Fool has the support of the universe to make this jump into the unknown. Adventures await him in the river of life.

The card indicates that if you trust your intuition right now, your feeling of the 'rightness' of things, you cannot go wrong. Your actions may appear 'foolish' to others, or even to yourself, if you try to analyze them with the rational mind. But the 'zero' place occupied by the Fool is the numberless number where trust and innocence are the guides, not skepticism and past experience.
____________________________________________________________________________________

I thought long and hard. Am I really “the Fool”?.
I remembered what my mother used to tell me when I was a teenager: “Watch out this friend of yours! She is taking advantage of you because you are too gullible”. I did not listen to my mother, thinking that she was paranoid. And I went on being a fool and being deceived, cheated on, lied to, taken advantage of, especially by the men I had relationships with. Very few of my real friends fell in this pattern, with the exception of two or three in all my years.
When I meet someone for the first time my intuition tells me right away whether I can trust this person or not. When the perception is negative, I try to find out more and generally I think that my intuition was wrong because I discovered nice things about this individual that superseded my first impression. I like to give the benefit of the doubt and since I am an optimist, I always think that even in the most despicable character, there still is some good left inside. And I usually try to dig into this “good” and make it come out. Sometimes I am successful, and sometimes I fail. However, this has never discouraged me from trusting in the good in all of us. I am an astrologer, and I can see in a birth chart that not everything is negative; even in the worst person there is a glimmer of light in him or her, and I try to make it come out.
Recently my “gullible instinct” has been put to the test very heavily, giving all and trusting 100% a person who came into my life in early 2012. I followed my intuition without questioning it. My friends think I am crazy, I sometimes think I am crazy, but I keep on doing it. The meaning that OSHO gives to the Fool card applies in this case:

The card indicates that if you trust your intuition right now, your feeling of the 'rightness' of things, you cannot go wrong. Your actions may appear 'foolish' to others, or even to yourself, if you try to analyze them with the rational mind. But the 'zero' place occupied by the Fool is the numberless number where trust and innocence are the guides, not skepticism and past experience

Only time will tell and I pray God that I am right!

NEW MOON IN AQUARIUS - FEBRUARY 10, 2013 – 2:20 AM EST

NEW MOON IN AQUARIUS - FEBRUARY 10, 2013 – 2:20 AM EST

The New Moon in Aquarius occurs Sunday morning, February 10 at 2:20 am EST at 21 degrees. New moons mean a new cycle, new beginnings, and rebirth.

It is a time for starting fresh. You can set your intentions that grow with the lunar light and reach completion at Full Moon. A good idea is to write down these intentions on a piece of paper, being clear and specific about what you want.

Whatever has been absorbing your time and energy is coming to an end to clear the space for something new to begin. You will have the urge to break away from the conventional way to do things in your own unique way, expressing more of your individuality and freedom because the energy of Aquarius wants to innovate and create new means of expression without any barrier.

This New Moon, along with the Sun (also in Aquarius) will highlight the Aquarian qualities of intellect and forward-thinking, as well as friendships, social relationships, and the world at large. Because Aquarius is progressive, you may find yourself wanting to shake things up just a bit, adding a little more excitement to your day-to-day life.

As a general rule, it is a good idea to start something new (such as a new business venture, an acquisition, the signing of a contract, etc.) during a New Moon, giving your project a chance to grow and prosper. The choice of the sign in which the New Moon occurs is also important and should match the nature of your project. (i.e. for a financial venture, the sign of Taurus would be the be the most appropriate, for a real-estate deal the sign of Cancer, etc..).

Happy New Moon!

LA FUSION DES FLAMMES JUMELLES PRIMORDIALES

 DIVINE FUSION

Femme, Fleur, déesse, Amour,

... Mots de tendresse, Mots du COEUR,

UNion Divine, Fleur épanouie,

Chants de l'Âme, Fusion Divine

Dans la douceur de tes vibrations

J'aime me lover

We were here, December 21, 2012

Xochicalco, Mexico

Xochicalco, ( Nahuatl: “In the Place of the Flower House”) fortified ancient city known for its impressive ruins. It is located on the top of a large hill and parts of surrounding hills near Cuernavaca, in Morelos state, Mexico.
Xochicalco was built after the fall of Teotihuacán primarily during the 8th and 9th centuries ad. Its ruins reveal multicultural influence, including Aztec, Zapotec, and Olmec elements. Xochicalco soon became an important trading centre, its strategic location making it an entrepot for goods from the Pacific coast, Puebla, Tlaxcala, and more distant regions. The reason for the city’s decline is a matter of speculation.
Excavations, begun in 1909, have revealed a number of structures, including the so-called Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent (Quetzalcóatl), two ball courts, and a variety of houses and plazas. The Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent displays a number of reliefs—such as plumed serpents and men with elaborate headdresses—indicating strong Mayan influence. Xochicalco was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.

We arrived around 5 PM and we had 45 minutes before the site would be closed to visitors.
The golden light from the setting sun made the whole site look like a giant jewel. The air was still and warm.  My two friends and I were the only visitors left and we looked for a suitable place to have our personal ceremony to say good bye to the old 5,125 year-cycle of the Mayan calendar and welcome the Sixth Sun.

My friend K found an old well which we would use as the place for our sacred ceremony. We went into meditation and I felt a bolt of energy entering my body. It was exhilarating and a deep feeling of joy came over me. It continued for a long time after we had opened our eyes and held hands which, for me, meant: “Thank you God for allowing us to be here, now. We are blessed”.

After our private ceremony, we continued walking among the ruins, until my friend K and I reached a place which I know now was a ball court. Here is a description (from two different sources) of the game which was played here:

“It is not certainly known how this Maya ball game was played but according to the most widespread version of it, the goal of the game was to pass the ball through one of the rings without touching it, the players needed to strike the ball with their hips. They used a solid rubber ball about 20 inches in diameter and weighed up to 4 kg (9 lbs) or more. It was extremely difficult to get the ball through a ring. In fact, when a player could achieve it, it was then the end of the game. The game ended otherwise when the ball touched the ground.”

“Every sacred centre had an elaborate ‘ball court’ where a ritual game was played. Until recently the game, although presumed to have ritual meaning, was a mystery. With the new research, however, it seems clear that the game was likely played annually in an enactment of the major cosmic event that was to come, not in their time, but a future time which is now.”

The rings, which are usually up on the walls of the ball court, were sitting on the ground:

To me this was a very significant moment, because this game re-enacted the conjunction of the Sun with the Galactic Center which happened on this very day, the 21st of December 2012. It was a confirmation that the cycle of 5.125 years ended, as predicted, and a new cycle was just beginning. It was a synchronicity which gave an answer to a question many had asked:
Is 12/21/12 the exact date of the end of the Mayan Calendar? To me it was clear that finding this artifact on that day, the answer was YES.

On a more personal basis, this finding was also very important, since what one does at the beginning of a new cycle sets the stage for the rest of one’s destiny.

I don’t think we will be doing this for the next 5,125 years!!

Our trip to Mexico was for me a wonderful adventure, full of surprises and discoveries of how wonderful and mystical this country really is. I hope to go back as soon as possible, but before I do, I have to learn Spanish so as to better understand the soul of the country.

Hasta la vista Mexico!!

NEW BEGINNING - 5

Change your belief, change your life

To shift from despair to joy is very simple: stop believing what makes you unhappy and start believing that all is well and God’s will shall prevail.
This is what I did when I switched my belief that my “roommate” was my “twin flame”, the one I have been expecting all my life, the one with whom I would realize the “sacred union”.

I fantasized about the union of the souls for as long as I can remember. To sublimate this deep desire of my soul, I wrote a book called “Transmutation, a Novel about Eternal Love”, based on the Hermetic tradition and a number of dreams that gave me the canvas on which to build my story. (www.transmutation-novel.com)

With such expectations I was doomed to be disappointed, since my roommate had other ideas about what our relationship should be. He saw me as a friend, a great friend, but nothing else! He could not respond to my yearnings and this made our co-habitation rather uncomfortable. (See New Beginning – 4).

After a particularly harsh evening, the next morning we had a long conversation that finally cleared the air. I accepted the fact that I had been wrong about what he represents in my life. We do have a soul contract, but it is not the one I thought it would be. We are learning from each other and we are helping each other. Our lives have changed for the better since we have met because of our action on each other. And this is it!
Now that I shifted belief, I feel like another person. I am as happy as one can be, enjoying every minute of his presence in my life, and so does he (I hope!!). Our relationship became smooth and easy, like real friends should be.

I hope to find my “twin flame” someday, either here or in another dimension, and I believe I will because of my recurrent yearning for such an experience. God’s will shall prevail!

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

To better understand what unconditional love is, look at the way your dog loves you, no matter how you treat it. For your dog, you are God and your dog will never question its love for you. For us humans, the closest we come to unconditional love is the love we have for our children, especially when they are still infants. Later we might have expectations from them!

Unconditional love is love with no expectations. It is not a “feeling”, it is a state of being, a complete unification of our heart and soul, a state of pure bliss, no matter what the circumstances of our life are. We love God unconditionally. We have to love ourselves unconditionally, because we are ONE with God, only separated from Him/her by our human condition. We have to love nature unconditionally; we have to love our fellow humans unconditionally, no matter how disturbing some of them might seem to us. God loves us all unconditionally.

As we can see, this kind of love is not the norm among us humans. We love with conditions, with expectations, with emotions, both positive and negative. In fact, what we call love is a sentimental vision of life, based on the yearnings of our ego. This kind of love can also be destructive if not fulfilled and easily turn into hatred. This kind of love is jealous, possessive, territorial, selfish and narcissistic. In order to love unconditionally, our ego has to be integrated, and used only when necessary to assert our rights. Detachment is the result of integrating our ego. When we are no longer controlled by our emotions we are ready for unconditional love.
When it comes to romantic relationships, unconditional love is rare, because when we are in love we have many expectations.  As long as both partners feel loved for who they are, love is bliss. However, if criticism or any other negative behavior appear, it goes down the drain, because this love is ego driven.

How to “integrate” our ego? With deep inner work, daily meditation, listening to our higher self and applying the rules of unconditional love as much as we can.

Relationships

Whatever relationships you have attracted in your life at this moment, are precisely the ones you need in your life at this moment. There is a hidden meaning behind all events, and this hidden meaning is serving your own evolution.

NEW BEGINNING – 4

We now have been living together since October 15, the day of the Libra New Moon. It was an important day and the planets in heaven were showing it by their transits on both our astrological charts.
I was very hopeful that our co-habitation would be smooth and that our relationship would get closer. It did get closer…..but not in the way I was expecting. Yes, we were together every day, we did things together, walked together, meditated together, ate together, had great time together, but his reluctance to closeness made him back away from me, one day at a time.

He became more and more judgmental of my behavior, preaching to me and criticizing my lack of commitment toward improving my soul. He made me cry more often than I cared for and the joy I had felt when we would get together (before our co-habitation) has vanished.
Oh! He tells me nice things too, like “I am the best, a dream come true, without me nothing would have happened, etc...” He is very grateful for all the things I do for him and he thanks me all the time! He is also wonderful at home, taking care of things, cooking for me, preparing my breakfast every morning, calling me cute names and stroking my hair when he passes by me. But no more big hugs or kisses like we did before. He keeps away from me as much as he can, as if he is afraid of getting burnt!

It has been a roller coaster of a relationship! I never know how he is going to react to what I say or what I do. This is very funny!  Because he convinced me to break up my former relationship for that same reason: I was controlled by the man and had to tiptoe in his presence. Now, I feel exactly the same with him.
Is it my fault? Do I love him too much and therefore give him too much power over me? Do I do too much for him, making him feel guilty and thus reacting in a negative way? Maybe, but I do what I do without thinking, because my “guides” told me to take care of him, and I do.  Why?

The “Divine Plan” that put us together in my small New York apartment must be the answer, but I fail to see what the answer is. In two weeks we are both going on a trip to Mexico to spend the end of the Maya calendar in the country where it was created. We will be together for more than two weeks and we will share tight quarters, even tighter than my apartment!! What will happen then? Only God knows, who conceived this plan!

Knowing the future is not always a picnic!

Knowing the future is not always a picnic! How do I tell someone who is acting in a certain way that I know that what he/she does now is useless because I KNOW what is going to happen? You see, you cannot tell anybody that you know what they are going to do in the future, because they are not ready for it. By revealing too soon you take a risk of changing the timeline, making this person take different steps to avoid something that they are not prepared for or because they have another idea of what their future should be.
I am not talking about broad astrological predictions or even psychic readings. I am talking about clear “visions” of this person’s future and those who are related to him/her in these “visions”.

Some things in our lives are meant to be, events that we were prepared for in another life which have to happen in this life in order to fulfill our soul contracts. The veil of forgetfuleness does not allow us to remember who we really are and what these “contracts” are. So, we have to find out the hard way: by discovering them as we do our living, day by day, along the 3D linear time frame.

However, time does not exist outside of our 3D world; so, there is no past or future, only present. For some individuals it is possible to have a glimpse into this eternal present and see events which are in our  past or in our future. Timelines can be changed though, and it can be dangerous because everything being interconnected, this might have unwanted consequences.

So, knowing the future is not always a picnic! However, if you are personally involved and you know the outcome of some situation and it agrees with you, then you say nothing and wait for what you know is going to happen. This takes away the worry about the future and you can relax and enjoy the games humans play, not knowing that they are just players of a game the outcome of which is already on record.

My iPad Thanksgiving adventure

My friend and I were invited for a Thanksgiving dinner in New Jersey. We took a cab uptown to get on time to the Port Authority where we were going to take a bus.
The traffic was horrendous because of the Thanksgiving day Parade, and 10 blocks from the Port Authority we decided to continue on foot, because we would get there faster.
We stopped in a flower shop to get flowers for our hostess, and I suddenly realized that the bag containing my iPad and my digital camera was not with me! I left it in the cab!! Too late to find the cab.
I had a panic attack! My iPad, my best companion before going to sleep (yes, don’t laugh! I do my reading in bed!). Images of doom came to my mind. Sensitive information was contained in that little tablet, which I did not care to share with anybody! What to do? What to do?

My friend and I did some visualization and I prayed to God, the Angels, the Universe that my iPad would return to me unharmed, hoping to be heard!

We got to Port authority, took our bus and arrived on time for an Italian style Thanksgiving dinner (the turkey was a side dish!!). I had time to submit a lost and found request to the Yellow Cabs company ($47, just for the asking) and then enjoyed my dinner as much as I could, trying to forget about the fate of my iPad.
When we got home, I opened my computer and found an e-mail that made my heart jump with joy!
“Hello,

I found a tote bag with an iPad & camera in it today in a taxi. I think they are yours.

Please call me at…….”
I dialed the number and a woman answered, immediately recognizing my name. She explained to me that she was the next passenger on the cab and immediately saw my tote bag. She looked into it and saw the iPad and camera. She herself has the same tablet and realized that whomever lost this gadget must be very upset, because if it has been her, she would be very upset! So she decided to take it with her try to figure out who it belonged to.

This was some detective work, because my iPad is locked and there was name or any indication of the owner. So she did research, using a little icon placed at the bottom of the screen which, when touched, reveals the photo gallery. She looked at my pictures, hoping to find a clue! And there it was! An art show where I was the artist, with my art on the wall and me in front the pictures. She located the signature on the artwork, and put my name on Google, and the rest is history!! You can’t hide anything from Google!!
It just happens that April (that’s the name of my Angel) is also an artist and studied in France for a while. I went this morning to pick up my belongings and met her and her husband in person. They are wonderful people, warm and generous, and we really hit it off, and we are now friends (also on Facebook!).

I am going to help her with her website as a token of gratitude for saving my iPad and my digital camera.
Voila. This is the Thanksgiving miracle I wanted to reveal to the world!!
If you have an iPad or tablet or digital camera, please put your name and phone number on it, because not everybody is as smart an investigator as April. Thank you April!! God bless you!
